Use corn starch for oily hair. If you’re one of those people with oily hair, corn starch can really help. Corn starch helps to absorb any oil that might be in your hair. Take a small amount and rub it into oily spots and your hair will look nice and fresh.

If you frequently wear a ponytail, then adjust its height or length often. Even if you only use soft hair ties covered in fabric, it can cause stress to that part of your hair, and will eventually lead to breakage. If your job requires you to wear hair back, when you aren’t working, wear it down as much as possible.

Do you suffer from dandruff? Seek out a shampoo and conditioner with an ingredient called tea tree oil! Tea tree oil is all-natural, and will work to soothe a dry scalp. This helps to prevent dandruff from being formed, and will leave your hair looking, feeling and even, smelling great.

You should try to wear a cap when swimming in pools whenever possible, in order to protect your hair from the chlorine that is added. If you do not wear a cap when swimming, you should make sure to wash your hair and then, condition it, right after you are done.

Don’t use too many appliances on your hair so that it can become stronger and be restored. For example, those curling irons, rollers, and other appliances can really damage the hair more than strengthen it. It wise to give a hair a break, at times, and stay away from the heat.

Only wash your hair as often as you think it needs washed. Everyone’s hair is different but a good way to go about it is to wash it and condition it every other day or around 2-3 days a week depending on your daily activities and your body’s physiology.

Although it is tempting to wash your hair after sweating in the summer, sweat itself isn’t actually that dirty. You can end up washing your hair too often in the summer, turning it dry and brittle. Rather than washing your hair every time you sweat, use just a rinse and conditioner occasionally. This should clean your hair enough between shampoos.

You should get a small collection of different hair care products, including, shampoos and conditioners. Do not use the same product every time you wash your hair. Each product will affect your hair in a different way and a diverse collection of products means that your hair will never lack any vitamins.
